Pin this image! Can't believe it's the first day of January of 2018! My 2017 went by so fast, what about you? So many things have happened, so before getting excited and sharing goals for 2018, it's also important for you to look back at 2017. Write down things and see how you have spent your 2017, and find goals and resolutions based on that for 2018! You probably are reading this article because you want to feel motivated, want to see how other people are getting their motivation, or you need help! I'm glad you are here because I am about to share some valuable and realistic ways to overcome your obstacles and stay motivated. Unless you constantly push yourself, motivation is something you can lose. I've heard many people saying "I don't have motivation" "I am not getting motivated" or "I just want to give up". And it's not just you, I also have been in that stage, and that is why I want to write about this subject. So have a cup of warm beverage and read along. *This post contains affiliate links. 1. You are distracted. I haven't posted for 2 weeks, and honestly, this was one of the main reasons for me. Whether it's a family matter, a personal one, or work-related issue, the best way to get over the distraction is to find a solution. If you are that person who can multitask and juggle several different things, that's great. But me? no... so what I did was to do one thing at a time. If your mind is somewhere else right now, you probably might want to focus on that certain thing, and then another. Take baby steps! If you try to do everything at once, you probably won't see yourself finishing any, but instead getting overwhelmed by different problems you are facing. 2. Find your happy spot. With constant mood change and stress, being happy is something I always try to achieve. I am more of an emotional person so sometimes small things often affect me as a big deal even if it shouldn't be. What type of person are you? Here are some of the 7 practical and realistic ways to be happy. I constantly use this guide and it helps me a lot. Check out the above happy person trait guide and I'm pretty sure it will help you tons! 3. What would X do. Sometimes when you are not getting motivated or when you feel stuck in an obstacle, the best way is to bring along your imaginary friend. we all have those people or somebody in mind that we like, we respect, or a person we look upon to. I would bring that person in mind, and start thinking what would they do in this certain situation. This helps whenever you feel alone or when you don't want to share your thoughts or whatever is going on with someone else. Also by thinking in another person's point of view, you will figure ways to take control of yourself and think straight. You can also check out this little book, How Successful People Think and this one, How To Win Friends & Influence People. 4. Eating habits. As cliche this may sound, bad eating habits are not good for you. I don't know about you but if I don't eat, I get all grumpy and annoyed. The balanced diet or healthy food in your body is important and believe it or not, it will impact you in some way! What I realized was instead of eating chips or crackers, start eating fruits. This helps so much as well as drinking tons of water every day. Check out these healthy snacks or healthy dinner ideas! 5. Just let it out, plan & organize. Try jotting down everything that is going on in your mind. Sometimes when you read them over after writing it down, some are just in your head that aren't big of a deal. You can eliminate them and start over. Plus it's 2018 so you get to start fresh. Another great way is to plan and organize using a planner or bullet journal. My favorite planner is this simple elephant agenda day planner where you can increase your productivity and happiness, as well as able to mindmap and draw in vision board with additional stickers. I also love calendars with inspirational quotes and decor like this and this one. So those were the 5 practical tips to overcome your obstacles and stay motivated! I hope these really help you since they helped me as well. I also want to share my favorite YouTuber, AmandaRachLee - I love her videos! Perfect for bullet journaling and just getting inspired! There's no right or wrong bullet journaling style, it's really what you make out of it, what works and what doesn't work for you. Just create your own style! Because that is what is going to keep you productive and stay organized throughout days, months and years. |
