October is a special month for me because it's my birthday month! It's also my sister and my mom's birthday month as well. There are so many fun holidays starting from October till the end of the year and I am just simply excited! So I gathered the best 4 Houston food events in October you should definitely check out. 1. Original Greek Festival When I think about Greek food, the first place that comes up to my mind is Niko Nikos! If you haven't been to Nikos Nikos yet, you definitely should, best restaurant to taste Greek food. At this Original Greek Festival, you get to enjoy all the authentic Greek food, wine, culture, entertainment with your family. Can't wait for those mouthwatering, tasty, and handmade Greek food! 2. Festa Italiana If you love Italian food, you should check out this Houston Italian Festival held in midtown from October 12 to 15! They have all types of fun family-friendly activities from pasta eating contest, grape stomping contest, car shows, tournaments and various entertainments for you to enjoy. The tickets are inexpensive as well, so this could be the perfect weekend event to go to. The great news is a portion of the profit from this festival will go towards Houston Food Bank to help out those who were affected by hurricane Harvey. Some of the sponsors are Bud light, Fellini Cafe, Maggiano's Italy, HEB, Houston Press, Crowne Plaza and more. 3. Texas Renaissance Festival - Oktoberfest Texas Renaissance Festival is huge, and one of the popular ones is the Oktoberfest. So if you are ready, make sure to put on your boots and cowboy hats for the local craft beers on September 30th. Will be located at The Water Works in Buffalo Bayou! 4. Fourth Annual Culinary Stars Event This upscale food and wine event are perfect if you are looking for a fun evening with all the local foodies. You will be able to enjoy the gourmet dishes made by the top chefs in Houston while sampling a variety of wines.
