Have you visited the Houston Heights Mercantile yet? This low-rise urban market district is located between Yale Street and 7th Street. The area is all about dining, shopping, and contemporary lifestyle. Architecture is by the Office Of Michael Hsu who apparently has done some amazing commercial, restaurants & home projects including Houston Heights Mercantile. If you know me, I love art, contemporary feels, unique and uncommon vibes, and exploring new areas alone -- so here are some insights and thoughts about Heights Mercantile. Affiliate marketing is probably one of the most well-known ways between bloggers to make money online. Of course, there many other ways to make money blogging, but today I decided to write about affiliate marketing and how to monetize your blog. This guide is solely based on my experiences and to share what I learned, what worked and didn't work. Some of these could slightly change based on your niche. Clairebear Blogs is about food, travel, and lifestyle. So if your blog niche is in fashion, home decor, electronics or others, the platforms I am using might not work for you. For example, if your niche is fashion, but here I listed a food network brand. Maybe you shouldn't use that for your blog because it doesn't align with the things you write about. So instead, you could become an affiliate of Like To Know It, the most widely known fashion network. With that said, let's get right into it. *This post contains affiliate links* If you know me, I am all about food. Food is everything, I mean, it's endless! One of my goals for life is to try every plate over the world while traveling and eventually finding my favorite dish. If you check out my Instagram, my food photos take up 70% of the feed. I mostly take photos of my food before I eat. Whether it's a restaurant, food truck, or homemade, posting these photos on my feed is like my food diary.
I really find it interesting to see how the restaurant plates the food, which colors are on the plate, which type of design they went with, and so on. These small details are what make me want to visit different restaurants, bars, and cafe. Sometimes, I get disappointed when they don't care about how the dish looks - because I can't Instagram it. But 80% of the time, I do see many places paying attention to their design and appearance of the food. This article regarding restaurants starting to ban the use of phones interested me. The rules do differ from one restaurant to another, but the concept is same. They want you to enjoy the food and have the memorable time with friends & family while dining. What is your opinion on this? I think it's a great concept. I prefer talking and catching up rather than being on my phone when I am with someone. Yes, it is your phone and your freedom but I think if you can't keep your phone for 1-2 hours, that's a problem. --- I use apple news to read everything because you can customize which news you want to read more of. Anyways, because the food is what keeps us sane and we all love new ideas of where to go and what to eat, here are 20 best food Instagram accounts you should follow today.
