5 Ways To Save Money On Shopping

Shopping is a great stress reliever, gives you happiness, and it's considered an exciting moment.
Going through the new & shiny items in our favorite stores is fun, but we could sometimes be spontaneous on our purchases. I've been there, you've been there, and you realize you spent too much!!

So today, I wanted to share my top 5 tips on how to save money while shopping.

1. Don't estimate it, try it on.
Ever had that experience where you stumble on this super cute look that a celeb wore or someone you knew had, and then you go "Yeah, I need something like this" or "I can totally pull this off".
However once you try it on at home and figure that it wasn't the look that you were expecting, or the fit doesn't look good on you and realize it's too late because you already took the tag off!

This is exactly why you need to try them on for sure. Also don't be deceived by look from those skinny mirrors in fitting rooms; brands like Hollister for example.

2. Are you going to wear this after few years as well?

Asking this question is a must. I saw so many people (including me) buying the clothes because we are just caught up in the moment. Don't buy something just because it's trending right now - buy something that actually looks great on you, and something that you will wear it after time goes by. If it is under $20 and you want to try it out, well go ahead. But I would not recommend you buying something that is like $70+ but then not wearing after a month or two because you got tired of it.

3. Is this necessary? Do I really need this item right now?

Shopping makes you feel new. But that doesn't mean you have to constantly buy new products when you don't need them. If you keep buying without organizing, there will be too much unnecessary items in your house. Sometimes you need to declutter in order to create a new space for new and improved items.
After removing the things you don't need, clear your space, and you should ask yourself before impulsively buying things that you want.

Always follow your brain! (haha)

4. Look around the whole mall first, and then buy something.

Have you ever saw the photo where it shows between women vs. men shopping (photo below)?
I find it hilarious but I think us girls are doing it right. Shop wisely. Walk into different stores and look around to see what items they have and pick something that you like. But don't buy it yet. I promise, you will find the similar item in another store with a cheaper or more expensive price. That might change your mind or you might even find better items that looks way prettier with a better deal. Make sure you take a full tour of the place rather than going into one store and buying stuff!!

5. Promise yourself.
Before spending money on anything, promise yourself that you will spend $150 today or any amount that you feel comfortable; try not to go over that. Making this rule to yourself will prevent you from purchasing useless items or things that you don't really need.
I'm in love with shopping, and if you are like me, I spend the whole day figuring and sorting out what to buy and what to not buy. We all earn money from some hard work that we devote time from, and I am suggesting to use the money well!
