Pin This Image! We all have our preferences when it comes to choosing the right study post. There are so many study spots in Houston to choose from, but today I want to share 5 excellent spots you would like. Whether you are looking for quiet, cute, spacious or places with strong Wi-Fi, I got you covered! 1. Yan Tea This bubble tea store is located in Katy Asian Town. There are many new restaurants and cafes in Katy Asian Town so definitely check it out. Yan Tea is a quiet, clean and spacious spot to study in Houston. Their interior is cute with animal artworks and their logo is a dog! A wide selection of bubble tea to choose from and I tried peach green tea with aloe. Their aloe are huge and bubbly which was great! Strong and fast Wi-Fi, perfect inside temperature and the store opens till 10 pm. Whether you are studying with a friend or alone, consider Yan Tea for your next place to study in Houston! 2. Slowpokes This cute sloth themed cafe in Upper Kirby Houston is a total gem. Located right in front of Levy Park, Slowpokes is the perfect spot to study or grab a quick lunch with friends. They have another location in heights. Once you walk into Slowpokes, their hodgepodge of everything will really grab your attention. It is pretty cool though, a lot of interesting pieces on the wooden shelves. I recommend you to sit at the bar since the height of the bar table is perfect when typing on your laptop. The lower tables are more for eating food, reading a book, or chilling with friends. You should check out their new toffee crunch latte and pastries. Great spot in Houston, I really loved it here! 3. The Yellow Cup Coffee & Tea Located in Houston Heights, The Yellow Cup is another excellent spot to study. Parking is not the best since you have to street park, but still it's not a big hassle since they do have their parking lot as well. Compared to how busy it gets, it's pretty quiet inside. Most of the people tend to to-go the coffee. Spacious and clean place with strong Wi-Fi, of course! If you are looking for a chill spot near you, The Yellow Cup is the place to go to. 4. Penny Quarter Penny Quarter just opened about a week ago in Montrose Houston. This modern and cozy cafe should be on your shortlist next time when looking for a place to study. Not to mention, they have an excellent Wi-Fi connection. If you see Anvil Bar & Refuge, Penny Quarter is right next to them with a private parking lot. Be prepared to be welcomed by plants and bright colors once you walk in Penny Quarter - beautiful interior for sure! Their drink menu consists of espresso coffee, but if you are not a coffee drinker, you can go for tea. After 3pm, no more coffee, but a long list of wine is available. So if you love wine, this place is perfect! Don't forget to check out the second floor and outdoor patio. Penny Quarter opens late till midnight from Sunday through Wednesday, 2am from Thursday through Saturday. 5. Understory Understory just had their grand opening last week. This dynamic public space located right below the Bank of America building is the ideal place to study in Houston. It's quiet, not too crowded, cozy and has a strong Wi-Fi. You never have to worry about kids coming here because mainly of its location and this hub is for adults. More restaurants are planning to join Understory, like Common Bond Cafe & Bakery and One-Fifth Gulf Coast, so stay tuned! |
