Do you ever find yourself wanting to have some space alone because everything seems so loud? From hanging out with friends every day to going school or work, it's not uncommon how those daily life might drain your energy. I think it's a step in your life where you become more mature. I think it's a good sign. There is a lot to achieve out of that quiet space of your own, and here are some 5 things you can do. 1. Discovering yourself Common as this sounds, learning who you are is very important. By hanging out with all the people you meet, you tend to lose focus. But if you set your social life aside and take at least an hour a day thinking who you are, what goals you have, and building your future, you will be surprised to learn how much you can achieve in that duration. You also will learn to surround yourself with the like-minded people. This was also one of the lessons I've learned after graduating college. 2. Completing your daily tasks I normally use a planner to be organized with all the tasks I need to accomplish. Whether yours might be studying for an exam, going to a job interview, meeting up with friends, or applying for financial aids, having a quiet place to finish those errands are great. Some might say "I like studying with my friends". I have done that, but honestly, you will get distracted easily and there is no time to waste. Check out some of the best free productivity tools I use on a daily basis. 3. Reading It's an information era and everyone loves to get caught up with what's going on. People want to be the first ones talking about what's happening or what will happen. Reading current news articles is not only fascinating but it also helps you to be a knowledgeable individual. Not to mention, reading books are great as well. These days people tend to forget reading books because everyone is on social media, but I've learned that book teaches you a LOT of things! One of my all-time favorite books is "How To Win Friends & Influence People". This changed my point of view of life & thoughts. Really changed the way I see and interact with others. You should definitely check it out! You probably also agree that stepping aside from social media keeps you happier, am I correct? Being a happy person is something we all should work on. 4. Observing people As a person who enjoys spending time alone rather than with a lot of friends, I enjoy watching people (not in a creepy way but casually)-the way they talk, act, wear, walk, or listen. This will probably give you an idea about what people are like, what they like, what they don't like, how they behave and so forth. And then you will realize there are different types of personalities, characteristics, and groups. You should definitely try it, it is very interesting! 5. Creating While being alone in my space, I get these "out-of-nowhere" ideas that I want to try. Have you ever experienced that feeling? But then, you are not sure where to start. The best way is to look it up, do something, actually start something, because it's not too late. We all need to consider this process crucial since we have our specific goals and we have to work for it. Being unique and competitive is what we need to survive in the world. Two apps I love to use to organize my thoughts are Evernote and SimpleMind+. And that's a wrap on 5 reasons why people tend to spend their time alone! What are your thoughts?
