Ever find yourself wanting to be alone because everything seems too loud?
From hanging out with friends everyday to going school or work, it's not weird how those activities might take up a lot of your energy. I think it's a step on your life where you become more mature. I think it's a good sign. There is a lot to achieve out of that quiet space of your own, and here are some 5 things you can do.
1. Discovering yourself.
Common as this sounds, learning who you are is very important. By hanging out with people, you tend to imitate whomever is better than you. But if you set your social life aside and take at least an hour a day thinking who you are, what goals you have, and so on, you will be surprised to learn you could be better than those people.
2. Completing your daily tasks
I normally use a planner to be organized with all the tasks I need to accomplish. Whether yours might be studying for an exam, going to a job interview, meeting up with friends, or applying for financial aids, having a quiet place to finish those errands are great. Some might say "I like studying with my friends". I have done that, but honestly you will get distracted easily and there is no time to waste.
It's an information era and everyone loves to get caught up with what's going on. People want to be the first ones talking about what's happening or what will happen. Reading current news articles is not only fascinating but it also helps you to be a knowledgeable individual. Not to mention, reading books are great as well. These days people tend to forget reading books because everyone is on social media; but I learned that book teaches you a LOT of things! One of my all time favorite book is "How To Win Friends & Influence People". This changed my point of view of life & thoughts. Really changed the way I see people.
4. Observing people
As a person who enjoys spending time alone rather than with a lot of friends, I enjoy watching people (not in a creepy way but casually)-the way they talk, act, wear, walk, or listen. This will probably give you an idea about what people are like, what they like, what they don't like, how they behave and so forth. And then you will realize there are different types of personalities, characteristic, groups. You should definitely try it, it is very interesting!
While being alone in my space, I get these "out-of-nowhere" ideas that I want to try. Have you ever experienced that feeling? But then, you are not sure where to start. The best way is to look it up, do something, actually start something, because it's not too late. I consider this process crucial since we all have goals and we have to work for it. Being unique and competitive are what we need to survive in the world.
So that's a wrap! These were the 5 things you could do while spending time alone. If you enjoyed this post, don't forget to give a big thumbs up below. Thank you so much!
